I hope all of you are enjoying time relaxing during this holiday weekend. It is so important to take time to rest and recharge whenever we can.
I want to share some of the upcoming events that I have the honor of participating in. On Wednesday, November 30th from 6-7 PM, Liz Eldridge and I will be doing a Himalayan Salt Block cooking class at her store, The Spice and Tea Exchange. This class will include a hands on cooking demo and also highlight several types of salts from around the world, of which her store carries over 20 international varieties. On Friday evening, December 2 from 6-9PM, I’ll be a presenter at the Awakening Wellness Winter Series held at Spirit Path Yoga and organized by Julie Meer of Farm 779. I will be talking about chronic inflammation and how it impacts your health. There will be several other health professionals teaching including Dr John Collins of Collins Chiropractic, Derek Ford of Run Wild Fitness, Amanda Lyon of the Ayurvedic Program at Spirit Path Yoga . On Friday December 9th, I am part of a panel that is team teaching a short workshop on Winter Nourishment:Traditional and Integrative Practices for Seasonal Thriving. The class will be from 6:30-8:30 at Deha Yoga and will include topics such as Sotai Japanese Bodywork, Daoist Winter Cosmology, Nutrition for Winter Nourishment and Winter Qigong for the Water Element. Suggested donation is $10 and all are welcome.
